Parent Seminar on Child Behaviour at Infiniti School

On Friday 27 February 2026, Infiniti School welcomed parents and carers for an evening seminar focused on understanding child behaviour and supporting neurodiverse young people.

Led by behaviour and neurodiversity specialist Fintan O’Regan, the session created a supportive space for families to learn, reflect, and share experiences.

Parents from across the local community attended, bringing together a wide range of perspectives and real-life challenges.

What Parents Took Away

The session focused on practical, realistic strategies that can be applied at home.

Parents left with:

  • A clearer understanding of behaviour and its underlying drivers
  • Practical approaches to supporting mood and motivation
  • Strategies to create structure through rules, routines, and consistency
  • Tools to support organisation, homework, and study habits
  • Greater confidence when communicating with schools and teachers

Parents valued the opportunity to hear from a specialist with such extensive experience, with one attendee commenting:

“Really engaging and informative. I’ve been to a few ADHD sessions and it was great to hear some different information.”

Delivered by Fintan O’Regan

The seminar was delivered by Fintan O’Regan, a leading UK specialist in behaviour, ADHD, and neurodiversity.

  • Former headteacher of the UK’s first specialist ADHD school
  • Associate lecturer working with schools, universities, and national organisations
  • Author of 12+ books on ADHD, SEN, and behaviour

His approach focused on making complex topics clear, practical, and accessible for families.

Seminar Focus

Parent and Child, Understanding Behaviour in Practice

The session explored:

  • Differences in behaviour, including boys and girls, nature and nurture
  • Understanding SEN terminology such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ODD
  • Supporting children with mood and motivation
  • Creating stability through routines and structure
  • Building organisation and study skills
  • Supporting social development and friendships
  • Strengthening communication between home and school

Each area was grounded in real-life examples and practical application.

A Supportive and Open Environment

Parents were welcomed with refreshments and had the opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges.

Following the seminar, an open Q&A session allowed families to ask questions, share experiences, and receive further guidance.

This created a space that was not only informative, but reassuring and supportive.
